Australian Earth and Environmental Science Olympiad

The Australian Science Olympiads are a national enrichment program for secondary science students.

The Australian Science Olympiads provide rewarding opportunities for students to extend themselves way beyond school science through challenging exams, stimulating extensions and enrichment programs and international competitions.

Australian Science Olympiads are a staged enrichment program where students receive support and recognition for their efforts.

Stage 1: Australian Science Olympiad Exams
The Australian Science Olympiad Exams are challenging exams students sit in their school during August. Students can access free support to prepare themselves for the exam, and their performance is recognised with certificates and special invitations to residential and enrichment programs.

Stage 2: Australian Science Olympiads Summer School
Based on their performance in the Australian Science Olympiad Exams, students are invited to attend the Australian Science Olympiads Summer School. This enrichment program is an opportunity for students to further extend themselves in their discipline, connect with subject experts, and develop new friendships with like-minded student from across the country.

Stage 3: International Science Olympiads
Based on their performance at the Australian Science Olympiads Summer School, students will go on to represent Australia at one of the International Science Olympiads in Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science, Physics and the Junior Science Olympiads (from 2021).
